Also close by is the Blue Ridge Parkway which offers long range views of the famous Smokey Mountains.
Located approximately 30 minutes from Boone, NC, it is home to several gated luxury communities such as Linville Ridge, Grandfather Mountain Golf and Country Club, and Diamond Creek. During the off season Banner Elk is home to approximately one thousand residents that grows to several thousand during the summer/fall months.
